a few weeks ago we took the boys to their very first concert – Third Day. drew had been wanting to go to a concert for awhile, but we weren’t sure how our youngest, chris would do. both boys like to listen to music, especially at night, and they both really liked this band’s music. but listening to a cd and actually going to a concert are 2 VERY different things!
both boys started off excited, they danced a little, they laughed a lot, but after about an hour and a half their enthusism seemed to wane. there were a total of 4 bands playing, and we’d seen 3. the main event – third day was about to be up, but the boys were a “little” less excited now! we moved back to a grassy area – we were at an outdoor ampitheater figuring they might be more comfortable up there were they could move a bit. that helped a little, but i think we lost them after the first few bands! next time, we’ll arrive a little later! LOL!
of COURSE, mom had to document the event in pics, the PLAYLIST line worked well with the photos and the theme!
i used a few stamps to complete the layout, the parenthesis around “sing” and laugh were stamped using the BRACKETS stamp and Vivid ink in black. I just cut them out and adhered them on either side of the words. i also used the GRAPHIC CIRCLE stamp and Vivid ink in aqua to add a little “umph” to my journaling block. i used chipboard letters for my title and outlined them with a black gel pen so they would stand out against the printed paper. i used a white gel pen to add the small scalloped border that separtates the green paper from the striped paper. i then outlined it using the black gel pen to help it stand out as well.
