Girlfriend

by pialopez on March 26, 2009

My son already has a girlfriend? Well, that was what he told me : ) He saw this layout when I was almost done creating it and so I asked him what will be a good title (yeah, sometimes I ask for his opinions and more often than not, his ideas are better than mine hahaha!). Here’s what he said:

Ethan: Ethan’s best “ever” girlfriend”!

Me: (quite shocked) Girlfriend? But why girlfriend?

Ethan: ‘Coz she’s a “girl” mom!

Oh, ok I didn’t realize that at once : D
The photos were taken at my friend’s wedding where Ethan was the ring bearer and Ayna was the flower girl. They had an instant bond and they played all the time at the reception!

I used Daisy Bucket – Perfect Harmony and the colors were a perfect match for the photos! The border scallops were hand drawn and hand cut. I also cut the birds from Hadley paper, they’re too cute, right? I added these rub ons: caterpillar and bird from Sing (#9002).

Happy scrapping!

Spring Fever!!

by Heidi Smith on March 22, 2009

Do you have it yet?? I sure do and I sit here expecting yet another round of snow in the next 24 hours…sighhhh. Until I can get outside and start digging in the garden I thought I’d share one of my favorite layouts from CHA09. I used Perfect Harmony which was recently featured in Creating Keepsakes “Latest and Greatest” (pg 36). Check it out at your LSS.

bff alert!

by tami sanders on March 18, 2009

the LOVES ME LOVES ME NOT line isn’t just for Valentine’s day… the colors are bright and fun, and perfect for lots of other themes like “girlie-girl”, spring or summer layouts!

i used it in this layout of 2 adorable little girls in my son’s first grade class; my son chris – who is 6 took the pic btw!

i layered strips of printed paper with cardstock on a dark brown background. the strip against the left edge was handcut from printed paper – i just cut around the flowers on the right side. a piece of VINEYARD paper ribbon separates it from the pink polka dot paper. i used a vintage red paper doily to back my little friends – which are made of chipboard. i painted them, then ”dressed” them with chalk ink, stamps and white gel pen. i tied little pieces of paper ribbon to fill the holes in their heads – couldn’t have that! i added a few paper flowers with vintage button centers, and glittered chipboard letters for my title. the simple journaling at the bottom was done with a white gel pen.

Sisterly Love

by Melanie Blackburn on March 15, 2009

I created this layout of my girls using the Merry Wishes paper collection. This collection is so versatile that it can be used on non-Christmas layouts. I’ve also used the Daisy Bucket Label stamp which I’ve stamped and then cut half. I added one half to the bottom of my page to which I put the date and extra details.

I challenge you to think outside the box and used theme papers on a non- themed layout!

Posh Posies!!

by Amanda Boyles on March 3, 2009

Want something bright to scrapbook with?? What about something fun and funky?? Well you can find all of that and more in one of the newest lines from Daisy Bucket Designs called Posh Posies…I think my most favorite part of the entire line is the fact that the colors are so new and fresh and not like anything I’ve ever used before…Check it out:

I am loving this color combo right now…So much fun!! I also used some of the ribbon elements (color-key lime) that Daisy Buckets makes up in the right hand corner…it matched perfectly!! Have you used this line yet?? If so show us!! We would love to see your work!!
